One of my favorite stories from the bible is the story of the disciples on the road to Emmaus.  “When the disciples saw who he was, he disappeared. They said to each other, ‘it felt like a fire burning in us when Jesus talked to us on the road and explained the scriptures to us’” Luke 24:31-32

My journey back to God has always been different. Some days, the journey is hard, other days not so much. Some years it seems I remain walking in place, while others, I’m sprinting. For whatever reason, God is moving in me now, more than ever before. My journey is becoming a slow and deliberate walk with Christ. As I strive to become a more outwardly transparent Christian, my relationship with Jesus Christ has deepened. My heart is burning. I believe God is preparing me for something, and I will continue to say the words “Your will be done” because it’s not my plan, but His. Thank you Lord.
