None of us pray as much as we should, but all of us pray more than we think, because the Holy Spirit turns our sighs into petitions and our tears into entreaties. He speaks for you and protects you. He makes sure you get heard.

This day really got a hold of me, ughh. I’m going to pray to St. Patrick right now, that he chases all these snakes away!

Lord, please help me to pause today and realize that those are real nails in those hands. That it is truly God on that cross, and it’s us who put him there. Let me come to calvary with heart-splitting emotion.
